The Marching Band competed in the Region 21 UIL Region Marching Contest at Longview High School on Saturday, Oct. 16th under the leadership of Band Director Joseph Hewitt.

“We have come so far in my four years of high school,” said senior Janetzy Sanchez. “We were able to advance to the State Competition after getting straight ones,”

After months of preparation, the band marched for three judges and earned all 1st Division superior ratings from the three judges.

“Seeing how we, as seniors, have finally accomplished going to State makes me feel proud of my fellow band members and how our hard work has paid off,” said senior Jyovany Robles.

The band will compete at the State Military Marching Contest on Tuesday, Oct. 26th at Pine Tree High School. They will perform for five judges, two of which will judge the marching and three who will judge the music.
