The District Cross Country Meet was held in Lindale on Thursday, Oct. 14th under the direction of Coach Aaron Steele.

Freshman Katelyn Chavez placed 7th at District in the girl’s division. Junior Emery Crayton placed 2nd at District in the boy’s division. Both runners advanced to the upcoming Regional Meet.

“Emery has a great chance to advance to the State Championship,” Steele said. “Both Emery and Katelynn are new to cross country, so this is their first season to compete and they are performing at a very high level.”

The Regional Meet will be held in Dallas on Monday, Oct. 25th.
