Caraline competes for the crown

Senior Caraline Otte will compete in the 2021 Miss Texas Teen USA pageant this upcoming Labor Day weekend in Houston.
Caraline is the reigning Miss Tyler Teen USA and she has been a community advocate for human trafficking awareness as well as tobacco prevention among teens. In addition former Chapel Hill graduate Kendol Pitts will also be competing in Houston for the Miss Texas USA portion as Miss Prairie View USA.
This state pageant, founded by the Crystal Group Corporation, will have contestants interview with the judges panel before competing in the active wear and evening gown events for Saturday’s preliminary show.
“I am so honored to be given the opportunity to represent Tyler,” Otte said. “My mom used to be a part of the Miss Texas USA organization as Miss Lindale USA, so it so rewarding to carry on her legacy.”
Following Miss Texas Teen USA, the winner will move on to compete in the Miss Teen USA pageant in 2022.
