Varsity Baseball had their Senior Night and played against Tyler Heat in a Double Header on Tuesday, April 20th under the direction of Coach Clayton Haltom.

In the first game, senior left-fielder Nathan Kinney made a diving play to get a third out at the top of the 3rd inning. Pitcher Dillon Tabb threw a no-hitter in the 7th inning resulting in a 11-6 victory.

“It was an emotional night because it was my last home game as a Chapel Hill baseball player,” said Tabb. “Although this season is coming to an end and I’m still going to be playing ball in the future, it’s still upsetting because I have a bond with these guys and it breaks my heart to see it end.”

In the second game against Tyler Heat, the Bulldogs immediately added three runs up on the board putting them ahead. Senior pitcher Dillon Line threw a complete game and shut out the side, in the 7th inning, ending the game with a 6-3 win.

“The season has been going fine,” said Haltom. “I am looking forward to seeing what we can do next season.”

The baseball team will travel to Kilgore on Friday, April 23rd in their final District game.
