Soccer boys head to Round 3

The varsity soccer boys played in their first round of playoffs against Pleasant Grove at Pittsburg High School on Thursday, March 25th under the direction of Coach Nathan Carroll and Sael Suazo.
In the first half, freshman forward Sael Sauzo scored the first goal of the game followed with a second score by junior attacking-forward Adolfo Tamayo. Senior outside-mid Marcos Soto made the final goal ending with 3-0 victory.
For round 2 of playoffs, the Bulldogs played against Center High School on Tuesday, March 30th which was hosted at Tatum High School. They came out with another victory and a final score of 2-0 against the Roughriders.
“I’m real proud of the guys this year,” Carrol said. “They played really well, started off slow with tournaments but we really hit our stride for district and were able to win the District Championship with Lindale. I’m excited about the progress now during playoffs, and I’m looking forward to see what we can do.”
The varsity boys will play in Round 3 at Sulphur Springs High School against the Paris Wildcats on Friday, April 2nd.
