Max Richardson and Carter Binning competed at the Lake Palestine fishing tournament on Saturday, March 13th where they finished 4th out of 128 teams. They are under the direction of Sandra Smith, boat captain and Chad Richardson, sponsor.

Richardson and Binning won plaques, $150 Lew’s Strike King gift certificates, and a $270 scholarship.

They also competed the following day Sunday, March 14th at Lake Palestine where they caught four fish for a total of 8.24 lbs.

“We didn’t get the 1st place finish that we were looking for, but it all starts over in the Regional tournament,” Richardson said. “Then, we’ll be on our way to State.”

Their team has secured a place for the Regionals fishing tournament which will be held Saturday, April 17th at the Lake O’ the Pines.
