Boys Basketball wins Bi-District

The Bulldogs played in the 4A Region 2 Bi-District playoff game against Liberty Eylau at Marshall High School on Tuesday, Feb. 23rd under the direction of Akimba Johnson.

In the first quarter, point guard Jarell Hunter and power forward Ahstin Watkins assisted the team in scores holding a lead against the Leopards going into halftime. Shooting guard Amorrian Ford widened the gap with his three-pointers and a total of 10 points for the game. Center Keviyan Huddleston also had 10 points in the game. The Bulldogs were victorious with a final score of 50-28, earning the title of Bi-District Champs for the season.

“I felt like we came in with the right game plan and the right keys to win,” Ford said. “We all came together and made sure we were going to get the win, and everything worked to our advantage.”

The Area playoff game will be held at Sulphur Springs High School against Kaufmann in hopes of moving on to Round 3.
