Band students participated in the Region 21 UIL Solo and Ensemble competition at Lindale High School on Saturday, Feb 6th under the leadership of Band Director Joseph Hewitt. Of the 30 students, 26 students medaled and 9 students earned a First Division for their Class 1 solos and ensembles which means they advanced to the State Competition.

“We are so proud of our band students,” Hewitt said. “With COVID looming over everything we do at school now, it was refreshing to see our students compete at such a high level. The band program continues to make Chapel Hill proud.”

Wesley Wilt, Zachary Davenport, Andrew Luna, Keilah Knight, Keizah Knight, Emily Hayde, Briana Valencia, Ruben Velasco, and Gianni Campa will compete at the State level which will be virtual this year and hosted in Austin on June 1st.
