January 25, 2021
CTE Animal Science & Vet Med students toured the A&M Commerce Equine Center, on Friday, Jan. 22nd, with ag teacher Kenneth Carnes.
The juniors and seniors were able to speak with other agriculture college students, Commerce’s FFA Ambassador, their FFA President, and the freshman admission counselor. They discussed scholarships, degree programs, internships, teacher assistant opportunities, and transfer requirements.
“I was able to learn about the PRIDE scholarship which furthered my knowledge about how to accomplish my goal of attending A&M Commerce,” said, Jayden Bagley. “I was happy to go and bond with my peers too.”
Ag will have a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for their newly constructed ag barn, on Saturday, Jan. 23rd, which will be followed by the annual Chili Cook Off.
