Tennis competes again

In the 2nd year of the fall season, the tennis team played in a Rally against Bullard, September 10 and Carthage Bulldogs at Carthage High School Thursday, Sept 24 under the leadership of Coach Alex Carr.

Andrew Luna, Emmanuel Lopez, Morgan Dover, Sharon Escobar, Erik Padron, JP Wheeler, Makenzie Yarborough, Grayson Stewart, Diana Aguirre, Laila Marinez, John Kennedy, Andres Martínez, Lisette Garza, Giselle Garcia, Gerardo Duran, Blaine Laughlin, and Hugh Mauritho.

During the Carthage matches, Gerardo Duran and Hugh Mauritho win a set of doubles with a score of 8-6.

“Our season so far has done really well we have a lot of great players and we have a great time out there. The last game we did pretty well overall, we didn’t win but we won 6 out of 10 matches,” said  Carr. Our best Tennis players are Grayson Stewart who is a junior and JP Wheeler who is a junior.  Try your hardest and even if you lose it’s okay because you can learn from your mistakes.”

Senior Erik Padron said, “The team has been getting more connected which helps us work better which other”

future event: Tuesday, Sept. 29th will play against Van Vandals at Van High School
