The varsity football team traveled to Athens High School in the first district game as they battled the Hornets, on Friday, Sept. 25th.

The Bulldogs beat the Hornets 37-25 breaking Athens’ undefeated winning streak for the year. Quarterback Cameron Ford sealed the final score, by running the ball in, following a secure lead throughout the game.

“We played good to start off the game, but we really started to pick it up in the second half,” said Ford. “When we came out after halftime, I knew I had to pick it up and work with my team.”

The Bulldogs will face the Lindale Eagles in a home game on Friday, Oct. 2nd.
