The Lady Bulldogs played against the Cumberland Knights in the Chapel Hill Varsity gym on Friday, Sept. 18th.

Senior left-back Kyla Pannell served seven points in the first set, and Taelor Crumpton kept the ball alive with her dig during a rally which ended in a 25-10 win against Cumberland. The Lady Bulldogs won the second set 25-13 although the Knights came back for a win in the third set.

“This season we’re focusing on whatever it takes to win,” said Crumpton. “We still have to play our game.”

The fourth and final set ended in a 25-22 win against Cumberland which is a necessary win to ensure a spot in the playoffs until they play them again.

“I am beyond excited that my senior season has gotten off to a great start,” said senior Hannah Ritchie. “I love playing, cheering, and making memories with these amazing ladies.”

The varsity girls will play against Bullard in an away game on Tuesday, Sept. 22nd for their 4th District game.
