Chapel Hill takes Terrell

The Bulldogs played against the Terrell Tigers at the Terrell Memorial Stadium on Friday, Sept. 11th walking away with a 3-0 record. Quarterback Cameron Ford totaled 371 yards and six touchdowns. Ford completed 13 passes on 18 attempts for 191 yards. He scored three touchdowns, and finished with 181 rushing yards. Kicker Adolfo Tamayo hit a 40-yard field goal at the half for a 38-20 lead.
After Terrell caught up to a three-point deficit making the score 38-35, Ford snuck in a 73-yard pass to inside receiver Ilonzo McGregor. Terrell made it to the 26 yard-line before they were stopped on a fourth down. Ford finished the game with a 43-yard rushing score on another fourth down play, leaving the score at 51-42. Cornerback Jahade Adams redeemed his fumble, on an earlier kickoff return, when he intercepted the ball and stopped the Tigers with 50 seconds left in the game.
Chapel Hill is scheduled to play their last pre-district game at Center on Friday, Sept. 18th in hopes of remaining undefeated.
