September 3, 2020
The varsity football team played Kaufman for Homecoming night on Friday, Sept 3rd after having school cancelled due to power outages. Following the Homecoming Court Pre-Game Ceremony, the Kaufman Lions won the coin toss and received the ball first, but Bulldog defense held them back. Quarterback Cameron Ford, who was just named Ford Player of the Week for his success in the Splendora game, ran a touchdown putting the Bulldogs on the scoreboard first.
“We played a phenomenal game “, said cornerback Jahade’ Adams. “We cant get our heads get to high or to low over this success we have going on right now “.
With a lead in the first half, kicker Adolfo Tamayo started off the third quarter. The Bulldogs stayed ahead the whole game and held on even through a Lion comeback at the end. Chapel Hill won the pre-district game with a score of 38-33.
The Bulldogs will travel to Terrell to play against the Tigers on Friday, Sept. 11th.
