The Bulldogs picked up a Penalty Kick win against the Bullard Panthers, after tying with a score of 2-2, on Friday, Feb 21st.  This is their second round of district with Coach Nathan Carroll, and they are now 7-1 in district play.

After being down in the first half with a score of 1-2, senior Edfrain Valencia scored by sneaking the ball past the goal keeper.

Valencia scored again tying the game 10 minutes in the second half resulting in the penalty shootout. Junior Eduardo “Lalo” Urena successfully blocked the Panthers’ attempts and the Bulldogs had 4 penalty kicks, against their 1, in the shootout.

“I feel like this season has been pretty intense and full of surprises,” said Valencia. “Stepping up to lead and help the team is a big roll for me. We just have to keep this momentum going and aim to win District.”

The Bulldogs will battle Cumberland at the Knight’s Stadium on Tuesday, Feb. 25th.
