FFA members competed in the Fort Worth Livestock Show on Saturday, Jan. 25th – 27th under the direction of sponsor Kenneth Carnes.

Miguel Pena, Ashlynn Smith, Sydnie Murrell, and Hannah Ritchie competed with their Brangus heifers. In addition James Smith took his Santa Gertrudis while Cassie Barnett and Amber Lee took their Shorthorn heifers. Dalton and Dillon Line both took their Simbrah heifers to compete.

Murrel, Smith, and Dalton Line all earned 6th place ribbons.

“We had a really good time and the kids worked so hard”, said Carnes. “Some of our animals were younger and under-finished, but I’m confident they will be strong contenders in the future”.

FFA will compete again in Fort Worth for the Rabbit Show on Thursday, Feb. 6th – 8th.
