The tennis team played in their home tournament against Troup on Thursday, Jan. 23rd under the leadership of Coach Robert Sampson.

In the singles matches, Breighly Bonnett had a win. In the doubles matches, Sidney McElroy and Rubin Renteria won two rounds as well as Vicente Mendez and Gabriel Galarza. In addition Jacob Crouch, Elexy Gomez, David Esparza, Kaylan Helms, JP Wheeler, Alexa Cerna, Makenzie Yarborough, Glenn Smith, Emmanuel Lopez, Chris Cerda, Makenzie Yarborough, Hugh Mauritho, Gerardo Duran, David Galarza, Gissella Garcia, Gerardo Duran, and Maria Lopez won matches.

“I thought it was nice to learn from each other and how to improve, ” said Maurithio. “We worked well with Troup because we taught each other how to relax and have fun with it.”

Tennis will travel to Faulkner Park to compete in the John Tyler Tournament on Thursday, Jan. 30th.
