Varsity choir members attended the Area Competition on Saturday, Jan. 11th at Carthage High School. Competitors included Kendale Johnson, Alan Zuniga, Ruben Renteria, Khristian Harris, and Jo’Kovin Campbell who was an alternate. They competed under the coaching of Choir Director Robert Boren.

Senior, Ruben Renteria ranked 2nd chair in the Area and he is the 1st male vocalist to make the All-State Choir in Chapel Hill history.

“Ruben is the second student to achieve this award for the CHHS choral program following Sarah Feder,” said Boren.

Renteria will attend the TMEA conference to perform with the February All-State Choir in San Antonio.
