Cosmetology students traveled to Tyler’s PSI Testing Center for the first part of their Cosmetology Certification Exam, on Monday, Nov. 18th, with CTE Instructor Leigh Ann Crump.

Shelbee Denson, Maria Aparicio, Amy Gomez, Alexia Johnson, A’Lazah Garrett, Ester Morales, Alondra Ortega, Jennifer Valdez, Candice Bowens, Rafaela Pineda-Alvarado, Nancy Valdez, Madison Vega, Jessica Aguirre, La’Mia Daniels, Susan Morales Castellanos, Esmeralda Palacios, Kinsey Ponder, Michelle Rivera, Jaylah Rosborough, Kaylah Rosborough, and Desmond Vaughn attended to prepare for their upcoming certification tests.

“Although I’m a little nervous about the test,” said Nancy Valdez. “I’m excited to have the opportunity to get my license.”

The second part of the exam will be hands-on and will take place in Feb. 2020 when they travel to Dallas. Once they pass the second part, they will be a licensed cosmetologist in the state of Texas.
