Floral Design takes on Dallas

Floral Design students traveled to the Dallas Arboretum Gardens on Friday, Oct. 24th with teacher Kimberly Taylor. The students observed, drew, read and wrote about the nature they saw. They did this to incorporate a realistic look into their work. 

These floral design students include: Gabby Vilchis, Yesenia Ortega, Linmayre Mendez, Ismael Nava, Keandra Wilson, Hayleigh Rolling, Jade Boney, Jaden Cole, Cristy Collazo, Daniel Fuentes, Gisella Garcia, Melanie Guerra, Artesia Johnson, Jala Lofters, Enrique Lozano, Jaqueline Lugo, Trinity Mahon, Kiy’shun McGowan, Ingrid Hernandez, Trinity Payne, Kelsey Reed, Leslie Reyna, Kelsey Rivera, Abrianna Sandoval, Guadalupe Arteaga, Biannca Briones, Hillary Crist, Justice Diaz, Jasmine Evans, Catherine Hernandez, Sydney McKnight, Avril Munoz, Sha’asia Neal, Jenny Ramirez, Michelle Roman, Maddie Shelton, April Beltran, Nancy Campos, Marysol Castro, Bernardino Gonzalez, Nancy Lopez, Yesica Sepulveda, and Alyiah Broyle.

“It was pretty fast pace but looking at all the plants was very informative.” said Lopez “Most everything had a meaning.”

Floral Design will display their work in the CTE building for the high school tour day on Tuesday, Nov. 5th when 8th graders will get a chance to see and hear about the programs they will choose for their freshman schedules.
