The Chapel Hill Bass Club started their 2019-2020 fishing season on Saturday, Sept. 14th at Lake Tyler East. There were a total of four teams, sponsored by Randy and Joy Johnston. Glenn Smith and Max Richardson were in a team and they took second place. Other teams included Aden Johnston and Carter Binning, Brady Johnston and Derick Beard, as well as Casey Johnston who all weighed in.
“We are so proud of them all,” said parent Sandra Smith. “We are so excited for the season.”
This was the first tournament of the fall and the contestants were on the water all day beginning around 4:30-5:00 am.
“It was a hot tough day,”said parent Crystal Binning. ”They never gave up and they definitely represented Chapel Hill well.”
Chapel Hill Bass Club business sponsors included Allied Tree Service, Kea General Contractors, Stewart’s Donnybrook Automotive, Steele’s Plumbing Company, Tyler Truck Accessories, Palestine Toyota, Lewis and Jeannie Cobb, David and Martha Hicks, Jo Lacy Fowler family, Browning Memorial Church, Gene Larew Lures, Lee’s Plumbing, HGR General Contractors, and Raising Cane’s.
On Saturday, Oct. 5th the Bass Club will be competing at the Lake of Pines tournament.
