Senior, Angela Daniels had a special graduation ceremony for her Grandfather, Mike Louis Daniels on Thursday, Aug. 29th at a special school board meeting.  

Daniels will be graduating in the spring of 2020; however, her grandfather will not be able to attend. 

“My grandfather has been able to watch my other ten cousins walk the stage,” said Daniels. “That was a moment I really wanted to share with him. My grandfather was the man who raised me, supported me, and loved me,” said Daniels.” I want to thank Chapel Hill for allowing me to have that intimate memories with my grandfather.”  

Family members expressed her grandfather has loved her, raised her, and has always been proud of her.

“We are so thankful the school board could give our family this incredible moment together,” said aunt Jennifer Daniels.

Regretfully Mr. Daniels passed away in his home surrounded by family on Sunday, Sept. 1st. Visitation services will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 4th.
