FFA wins First in Class

The Lindale FFA Livestock Show was held on Saturday Sept. 7, at the Cowboy Crossbrand Church in Tyler. Freshman Travis Williams showed two heifers and received First in Class and Third in Class. Junior girls presented their heifers as well. Sydnie Murrell showed two Brangus heifers, Amber Lee showed her Short Horn heifer, and Ashlynn Smith who showed her Brangus heifer.

Murrell won First in Class and Reserve Grand Champion. Lee won Second in Class, and Smith won First in Class as well.

“FFA has given me opportunities and business skills needed for my future,” said Murrell. “It will help me if I pursue a career in Vet Med. Radiology.”

The East Texas State Fair and FFA Livestock Show will feature Chapel Hill FFA members and their animals, starting the week of Friday, Sept. 20th.
