The 3rd annual 9/11 Honor & Remembrance ceremony was hosted by the FFA organization under the direction of sponsor Kenneth Carnes last night Tuesday, Sept. 10th. It was held at Chapel Hill’s Bethel Baptist Church Gym at 6:30 pm for community members to attend.

The program honored special guests including first responders, firemen, and policemen in remembrance of the lives lost on September 11, 2001. Participants were also able to enjoy a BBQ dinner.

“It was an evening of honor and remembrance, good food, and fellowship,”said Carnes. “It was an opportunity for our students to serve those who serve us and say thank you. It was also an opportunity for them to see a glimpse of sacrificial service.”

FFA will travel to the East Texas State Fair for the FFA Livestock Show Sept. 20 through Sept 29 where students will show their animals to be judged.
