TSA takes State

Technology Student Association (TSA) students, under the direction of sponsor Benjamin Dieter, competed at State on April 26th in Fort Worth.
Martin Mondragon received four 2nd place finishes and two 3rd place finishes in multiple drafting categories. Angeles Iturvides received two 4th place finishes and Cameron Brentz received a 5th place finish in 3D Printing. Manuel Greenlee and Trey Hudson placed 10th out of over 95 cars in the Dragster Build and Race. Ryan Elliott and Jesse Zavala placed 2nd in Model Building Residential. Keilah Knight, Angelina Acosta and Katherine Harris won Best in State for their model building.
Wood Tech teacher Chris Johnston also took wood projects with his TSA students Daniel Rameriez placed 3rd for his Wood Project (less than 20 board feet). Blas Lara placed 2nd for his Wood Project (less than 50 board feet). Jaden Franklin placed 1st for his Wood Project (less than 50 board feet). Eduardo Bustos placed 1st for his Wood/CNC Project.
“We had a great productive time”, said Dieter. “Their hard work and dedication to their competition or projects really showed in the results.”
