FFA competed at the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo which was held at the Stockyards January 24 – 28.

In the Junior Heifer Division, Ashlynn Smith placed 5th in Class with her Brangus and Kaitlyn King placed 4th in Class with her Shorthorn. Sydnie Murrell placed 6th in Class with her Brangus, Miguel Pena placed 13th in Class with his Charolais, Kara Pinkerton placed 3rd in Class with her Angus, and Dalton Line placed 8th in Class with his Simbrah. In addition, Dillon Line placed 4th in Class with his Simbrah.

In the Rabbit Show, Amber Lee placed 2nd with both of her Polish Senior Does and Smith placed with her Holland Lop Senior Buck. Alexus Miley placed 7th with her Polish Senior Buck while Jessica King placed 5th with hers; King also received 3rd place in Fur. Paxton Baxter placed 12th with his Holland Lob Senior Buck.

“The Fort Worth Rabbit Show was my first rabbit show experience and I fell completely in love with the entire process,” said Smith. “This experience was so special to me, not only because my rabbit placed 3rd in his first show, but also because I got the opportunity to show on my 18th birthday. It was a weekend full of joy and celebration, and I am so thankful to have been a part of it.”

FFA will compete again at the Houston Livestock and Rodeo Show which will begin on Saturday, March 2.
