As she walks into the gym to practice her routine, the feel of the baton in her hand puts her in a slight trance. The only thing on her mind is the precise movements and tosses of the baton to create the perfect routine, each move seamlessly transitioning into the next with honed expertise.

Katelynn Carter competed at the Regional level with the National Baton Twirling Association on March 19. Carter performed three routines and won the Southwest Beginner 16+ pageant.

Carter placed 1st out of 12 girls in this category and qualified to compete at Nationals Competition which will be held South Bend at Notre Dame.
