February 11, 2019
Administration announced the January 2019 ‘Teacher of the Month’ as Haleigh Littleton on Tuesday, Feb. 11. The ‘Supportive Administrative Staff Member of the Month’ was also announced as Veronica Olivares who is the secretary to the counselors.
“I am so very proud to call these ladies my coworkers and friends”, said counselor Crystal Binning. “They are two of the hardest working women on this campus, and I couldn’t be more honored to say I work with them. This is a much deserved award”.
Littleton is a sophomore English teacher who also teaches Early College English students. She graduated from the University of Texas at Tyler with her Bachelor of Arts in English.
“They are both assets to this campus and the building blocks that will make Chapel Hill an exemplary campus once again”, said Principal William Houff. “Their work speaks for itself”.
They will be honored and recognized by Superintendent Dean and the School Board during the regular board meeting scheduled for Monday, Feb. 25 at 7:00 p.m.

Haleigh Littleton is my granddaughter.. She has been such a blessing in my life. She is very focused and grounded . She knew what she wanted to do with her life and talents and didn’t let anyone or anything stand in her way of accomplishing that goal.. She will continue to be a great asset to teaching , part of being a success is loving what you do , and she loves her students .. I’m so proud of you , Haleigh and all that you have accomplished with your life .. stay close to God and the sky is the limit ..
