The Lady Bulldogs beat the Henderson Lions on Monday, Feb. 11 in their sixth district basketball game. In the first quarter, Brittley Maddox and Ty’Liyah Moore kept the team ahead. Finishing up the first half, D’Andreea Berry scored a free-throw. Natalya Overshown, Tierney Minor, and Jenea Travier scored and won the game at 31-24.

“This is a big win for us because we needed it to happen to have a chance to make the playoffs”, said Minor.

Maddox scored a total of 8 points, Overshown scored 6, Shelbee Denson scored 2, Travier scored 4, while Minor and Moore had a combined score of 10 points total.

This win gives them a current record of 3-3 in District. The Lady Bulldogs will host their game against the Gilmer Buckeyes on Tuesday, Jan. 15.
