October 2, 2018
On Saturday, Sept. 29 choir students traveled to Whitehouse High school for the yearly All-Region competition. Schools from all over Tyler participate in the competition. The students from the schools compete for spots in the All-Region choir and for a chance to make the Texas All State Choir.
There were four students that participated in this years All-Region competition: Jo-Kovin Campbell, Eddie Jones Jr., Andrea Scott, and Anaylin Zuniga.
“They all did a tremendous job representing Chapel Hill. Eddie managed to make it into the next round of auditions” said Director Robert Boren “Eddie is a strong contender for the All-State Choir this year and I am looking forward to seeing him on the stage at TMEA in February.”
The All-Region concert will be held at Carthage High School on Saturday, Nov 10. The concert is for all the students that placed in the choir to show off all their hard work they’ve done to make the choir.
“I am really looking forward to see whats to come in the future.” said Jones. “I believe I can make the All State Choir this year and I’m confident that I’ll represent Chapel Hill amazingly.”
Jones will audition for Pre-Area on Thursday, Nov 8th.
