Principal William Houff, who joined the campus in August, came from Longview ISD where hewas the principal at Judson Middle School.
Houff also previously served as an assistant principal at Marshall ISD and Eylau ISD. He has stated that he plans to emphasize social and emotional learning while setting higher curriculum standards.
“I believe it is the responsibility of the educators to give our students the education and social skills needed to be successful,” said Houff.
Houff earned a Bachelor of Science in Education from East Texas Baptist University, his Master’s in Education from Stephen F. Austin State University and his Superintendent’s Certification from Texas A&M at Texarkana.
Houff has said that “educators must set higher standards, reshape the image of the students, strengthen the curriculum, and improve school climate,” in order to be successful during the school year.
