The Regional track meet was held April 27th and 28th at Texas A&M Commerce. Events included Boys 4×1 Relay (Montel Hood, Marvin Pollard, Adrian Berry, Hunter Branin, Demarcus Attaway, and Brett Scroggins), High Jump (Tanner Rudd), Boys 300 Hurdles (Rodney Horton), Girls 300 Hurdles and 100 Hurdles (Karlea Duhon).

Seniors, Duhon and Horton placed. She is one of the Top 10 hurdlers in the Texas State 4A division. She received 3rd place in the Region for the 300 Hurdles and placed 4th in the Region for the 100 Hurdles while Horton placed 6th in the Region

“It was hard falling short from a goal I thought I could meet, but I’m glad I never gave up on what I worked so hard for,” said Duhon.

Horton signed with the Navy and will begin Basic Training this summer. Duhon is exploring her options from multiple college offers.
