On Saturday May 5th CTE teachers Leslie Rasco and Kenneth Carnes took a team of 6 to The State of Texas High School BBQ Cook-Off.

Culinary teacher, Leslie Rasco and Ag teacher, Kenneth Carnes took a team of 6 to the State of Texas High school BBQ Cook-Off. There were 42 teams competing from all over the state… Ka’Davion Bush, Katie Ibarra, Alicia Bishop, Angel Halsey, Lamya Green, Cierra Hill made up the team from the Culinary and Ag classes.

“I am so proud of these students on a job well done,” said Rasco.

Out of 42 teams, overall, they placed 2nd for their Potato Salad, 2nd for their Sauce, 6th in the Chef’s Choice category, 15th in the Dessert category, and 18th for their Beans.
