Bulldogs race towards Regionals

Varsity track boys placed 1st overall at last week’s meet in Jacksonville. They scored 161 total points as a team, including winning all the relays.

Hunter Branin took 1st in the 100M dash with a 10.8 time. Marvin Pollard took first in the 200m and Devin Taylor was a close 2nd. Simon Oviedo placed 2nd in the 400m with David Harris and Josh Lee following behind in 3rd and 5th.

“It was a great way to start off our season”, said Branin. “We have many who can make it to Regionals. With proper work and heart, (we) can make it to State too”.

Rodney Horton placed 1st in the 300m hudles with Billy Maddox placing 3rd respectibley. Quinzarius Daniel placed 2nd in the 110 hurdles.

The next track meet will be held here at Chapel Hill on March 8th.
