On February 19th, Michael Kaine Perkins signed to Howard Payne University at Friendly Baptist Church. He chose to sign at his church because it’s had a huge impact on him over his whole life and helped him succeed.

He signed to play football as a wide receiver for the Yellow Jackets, and was awarded a scholarship after his Junior season where he totaled 20 catches for 300 yards.

Perkins was made several offers from Brigham Young, Avila University, Austin College, Hendrix College, Lindenwood University, and Mcneese State and a couple more Junior Colleges.

“I chose to sign with Howard Payne, after my visit”, said Perkins, “it felt like home”,

He will report to Howard Payne during mid summer for workouts to prepare him for the Fall season of 2018.
