“I think the students we took did awesome,” said UIL coach and coordinator Amanda Adair. “However, I would like to see more involvement from lower classmen. I’m excited to see how we do at the invitationals and virtual meets coming up.”

Samantha Sibal and Haleigh Sanders competed as a team in CX debate and were awarded 6th place. Individually, Vanessa Gonzales won 4th in Computer Application, Alexis Sanchez placed 4th in Computer Science, and Dylan Mathis placed 6th in Current Issues and Events. In addition, Jesus Villarreal Anchondo received a 2nd place medal in Science, as well as the top Biology score.

“I was very excited to have placed,” said Gonzales. “I am looking forward to District.”
