Throughout the month of December, NTHS Technical Honor Society members collected toys for the Marine Reserve’s Toys For Tots non-profit organization. Students donated and delivered the toys to the Armory yesterday December 19.

Cheyanne Herring, Miriam Rivera, Caleb Otte, Mallory Kea, Myah Runyan, Brisa Aguilar, Chris Hamilton, Madi Gore, Kassandra Soledad, Abigail Robertson, Caleb Wages, Nancy Mondragon, Noah Whitworth, Adely Zavala, Tyler Autin, Gabby Campos, Lizbeth Anchando, Jacy Harden and Karla Soto volunteered their time to help organize and put together gifts, stocking stuffers, and bicycles for children in need.

“It was very tiring, but also rewarding,” said Aguilar. “After seeing all the toys and stockings I thought about the deserving kids who would receive them. After this experience I look forward to more community service and being able to help other people.”

Sponsor, Jessica Otte plans to continue to have NTHS members give back to Toys For Tots every Christmas after seeing her students experience this rewarding act of community service.
