Mr. Dahlgren and Mrs. Taylor took their Drawing and Sculpture classes to the Tyler Museum of Art last Tuesday.

The museum was holding an Andy Warhol exhibit. Warhol was  a world famous pop artist who was popular throughout the late 60s and 70s.

“It’s not everyday that an artist like him has an exhibit in a town like Tyler,” said Dahlgren.

Another featured artist was Daniel Blagg, a local modern artist from Fort Worth.

Blagg’s displayed work from his “Roadside Distractions” collection included a watercolor painting of Tyler’s own Skyvue Drive-In Theater.

“It was cool to see a Tyler landmark recognized by an up-and-coming artist,” said Jayden Lee.

Students will be working on entry pieces for the Visual Art Scholastic Event taking place in February.
