The Parent Action Team Committee held their first annual BBQ and Silent Auction fundraiser prior to the last home game on October 27th. Cindy Noland, high school staff member and co-head of the parent action team committee, explained that the funds would benefit scholarships for the graduating class of 2018.

“Anytime we bring the community together and raise money to send our kids to college, it is a good thing”, said Noland.

Community members donated items for the auction and P.A.T. committee members volunteered their time by helping serve meals to the public.

The silent auction came out with $2,250 and the BBQ with $2360, bringing a total of $4,610 toward the students scholarships and teacher appreciation.
