CHHS Culinary Arts hosted and competed in the 1st annual BBQ Tailgate Cook-Off on Friday, October 27.  Chapel Hill had two teams, the first included Payton Wages, Miguel Pena, Cierra Hill, Kadavion Bush and Daniel Valdez. The second team, Lamya Green, Ittzell Fernandez, Kendale Johnson, Taylor Rasco, Amber Lee.

Lesley Rasco said “It was a great experience for all of the students that participated.”

The battle was back and forth all day between Chapel Hill and Athens students. The cook-off took place outside in the low temps and windy conditions. The winner was decided by 1 point; Chapel Hill teams placed 2nd and 3rd.  The Sponsors were Super 1 Foods, Cooksy’s BBQ, the Bishop family, and “Coffee, Tea, and Me”.
