Varsity Choir competed in Jacksonville for the UIL All Region contest on Oct. 7th. Six students earned places to sing in the All Region Choir and advance to Pre-Area.

In the Bass 1 category, Kendale Johnson received 9th chair. In the Tenor 2 category, Caleb Otte received 1st chair and in the Tenor 1 category, Eddie Jones received 6th chair.

“I’ve been working toward this goal for the last four years, so it feels really good to start off the year like this. I’m looking forward to practicing hard for Pre-Area.” said Otte.

In the Alto 2 category, Mariah Higginbotham received 5th chair and in the Soprano 1 category, Samantha Sibal received 8th chair.

“I am super proud of these six kids,” said choir director, Vincent Flieder. “State here we come!”

These students perform in the All Region concert which will be held in Carthage, on Nov. 11th. Following the concert, they will be travel to Hallsville for the Pre-Area competition on Nov. 16,
