The Cross Country team competed in the Tyler Lee UTTyler meet Saturday, Sept. 9th. The varsity girls team of Angelina Acosta, Kassidy Mumphrey, Karlea Duhon, Hannah Hernandez, Perla Sanchez, Haydee Gutierrez, and Neymi Espinoza finished 153rd out of 217 teams.

“It was great, it’s my passion.”, said Espinoza. “I get to hang around people that are like family to me.”

Jailen Perez, Katelynn Garcia, Jacqueline Cerda, and Stacy Leon ran for JV.  The boys team had Jorge Gonzalez who finished 53rd out of 331 runners along with Gadiel Leon, Armando Sanchez, and Alex Minor.

The cross country teams will run again next Friday, Sept. 15th in the Hallsville meet.
