Fine Arts students have been accepted into music and theater programs at University of Texas at Austin, Tyler Junior College, and Texas A&M University at Commerce.

Nick Payne was accepted to University of Texas at Austin’s Moody School of Film. Payne was also awarded a yearly scholarship to UT Austin.

“I am thankful that I get to begin an educational experience for my passion in film,” said Payne.

Chase Miller was accepted into the Texas A&M Commerce Music Program. Miller has also been awarded a full ride scholarship in their Honors Program.

Cruz Vargas auditioned for the Tyler Junior College Band program and was accepted. Vargas will receive a full scholarship as a music major.

TJC has also offered Aiden Wilt, Andrew Lewis, and Nick Payne an automatic acceptance into their Theater Program based on their performances in “Jekyll and Hyde” at their Area competition.

“It feels good to be recognized for something I love to do,” said Wilt.
