Members of the National Honor Society and advisor Mrs. Avery, participated in an outreach project at the East Texas Food Bank on Tuesday, March 28th and Wednesday, March 29th evening. Students volunteered at the food bank by repackaging more than 30,000 meals that will be distributed to other food banks and soup kitchens in the area.

“It made an impact on me because it felt good to help someone else.” said Garrett Herring, NHS member . “Some people can’t afford food and I was happy to help and give up some of my own time so others could eat.”
