On February 25th, art took nine students artwork to the University of Texas at Dallas and entered it into the Texas Visual Arts Association High School Art Show. There were a total of 1285 student pieces entered from 39 different schools and 136 pieces were accepted into the show.

Two student art pieces were accepted into the show.  Ekaterina Menkina for her piece “Childhood Imagination” and Drew Thormer for her piece “Blaze.” A reception will be held in the gallery space in the Visual Arts Studio at the University of Texas at Dallas from 2:30 to 4:00 pm. The awards ceremony will be at 3:30 pm.

“I am incredibly proud of these two young ladies and this monumental accomplishment,” said art teacher Mark Dahlgren.
