Debaters represent in Hallsville

A total of five medalists from several categories competed in an UIL Academic meet at Hallsville High School on Saturday, February 11th.
“I was very pleased with our performance,”said David Doty, UIL President. “We behaved appropriately and represented Chapel Hill the best we could.”
David Doty received 1st in accounting, Jared Carter recieved 5th place in Computer science; the whole team was rewarded with second place. Eddie Jones won 5th place in Poetry, Alesha Lewis won 3rd in Lincoln Douglas. Jesus Villarreal won 5th science, and was second in the whole sophomore class.
“I had a lot of competition,”said Jones”, but in the end, it was about doing your best and having fun.”
