On Saturday, February 18, Chapel Hill UIL teams competed in Longview. While at this competition, they did not separate the 5-6A schools from the 1-4A schools.

Medalists include: David Doty placed 1st and Chase Miller in 3rd for Accounting, Jacob Gaddis in 2nd and Caleb Otte in 4th for Copy and Editing, Caleb Otte received 2nd in Headline Writing, Madison Gore in 6th for News Writing and Feature Writing, Osvaldo Campos got 4th in Persuasive Speaking, and Eddie Jones in 6th for Poetry Interpretation.

“I am very pleased with our progress,” said Doty, president of UIL. “Our teams are getting better with each practice and I look forward to see our accomplishments throughout the year.”
