Sciences succeed in UIL

On January 14th, the UIL Academic team competed in Lindale.

Litzy Aparicio (Number Sense and Spelling), Patrick Bradley (Accounting), Cameron Brents (Science), Kim Bren(Science), Jared Carter  (Science and Computer Science), Cosette De La Garza  (Current I & E, Social Studies, Spelling), Jacob Gaddis (Number sense, Social Studies), Liliana Garza (Current I & E), Chris Hedricks (Computer Science), Gustavo Mendez (Calculator app, Science), Ezra Patterson  (Calculator Applications, Number sense, Math, Science),  Javier Pizarro (Current I & E, Social Studies), Alexis Sanchez (Accounting, Computer Science), Armando Sanchez (Calculator Applications, Number Sense, Math, Science), Michael Soriano (Accounting, Literary Criticism), Jesus Villarreal (Science), Noah Whitworth (Computer Science) and competed in the practice event.

“I’m proud of their recent progress,” said Mark Kennedy, computer science coach. “I expect them to do great things, and keep improving.”

Out of all the following students Ezra Patterson placed 4th in science, and Jared Carter won 6th place in computer science.

“Our practice was worth it,” said Carter. “I hope to improve within the following year.”
