On Tuesday, December 13, Jazz Band, Concert Band, Symphonic Band, and Honors Band held a Christmas concert and bake auction.

The concert was the premier of Jazz Band, and also the first year Concert Band played under direction of Mr. Russell. Honors band included a tribute in memory of Sarge who was a staff member who passed a couple of weeks prior to the concert. Osvaldo Campos and Mr. Hogg presented Sarge’s wife with a wreath and canvas photo of Sarge. “I thought it was fulfilling, for his family and friends. It touched me, and I think it did the same thing for the audience”, said Javier Pizarro.

Many students brought homemade desserts for the bake auction fundraiser. The money raised from the bake auction will go towards helping students attend the band’s trip to Disney World.
