Local chef mentors at TheraPet fundraiser
September 25, 2016
Chef Rasco’s culinary class participated in the TheraPet event to help raise funds at the Ornelas Center on September 25. The students who helped prepare dinner, serve refreshments, and clean up were Maya Reazin, Lamya Green, Azia Johnson, Cierra Hill, Payton Wages, Shie Sutton, Ashley Moretti, Serenity Johnson, Curtis Hood, Kendale Johnson, Benny Fernandez, Lilly Garza, and Steven Anderson.
Reazin spent a day working at Eagles Bluff with President of Culinary Association of Texas Mark Schnider. Reazin was his mentee and helped him prep the food for the fundraiser. They prepared a homemade southern chip with avocado creme, BBQ scallops, and a peach salsa.
“It was an honor to be able to work with one of the top chefs of our time”, Reazin said.
Culinary will also host their “Monster Chef’s Table” on October 20 in the CTE foyer.
